Robert J. Haupt
Robert J. Haupt represents individuals and both privately-owned and public companies in a wide range of bankruptcy, litigation and transactional matters.
In addition to extensive experience in business and agricultural reorganizations for both creditors and debtors, Robert is a nationally recognized expert in hotel and resort management and development, having handled hundreds of hotel and commercial real estate transactions. He has spent much of his professional career in real estate and hotel development—developing, owning or operating more than 100 hotels, motels, resorts, subdivisions and other real estate projects.
Robert's achievements in the legal profession have earned him recognition in Oklahoma Super Lawyers (publishers of Law & Politics magazine) in the areas of Civil Defense, Bankruptcy & Creditor/Debtor Rights, and Land Use Law (2010 - 2014); in Best Lawyers in America in Bankruptcy Litigation and Land Use Litigation (2012 - 2014); as well as in A.M. Best Directory of Recommended Insurance Attorneys (2011 - present). In 2009, The Journal Record and Oklahoma County Bar Association jointly recognized Bob's remarkable advocacy efforts and community service with the celebrated Leadership in Law Award. And in 2011, the Central Oklahoma Association of Legal Assistants selected Bob as its Attorney of the Year, citing his outstanding support and appreciation of the legal assistant/paralegal profession and the high value he places on its contribution to an attorney's practice. A frequent writer and lecturer, Bob has served on the Editorial Board of the American Bar Association's Bankruptcy Litigation Journal. Robert and his wife, Sarah, reside in Norman, Oklahoma where they enjoy spending their free time hiking throughout Oklahoma and exploring new places.
